2013 GRANT TO DANVILLE-PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY COMMUNITY SERVICES BOARD
Linda Owens, Executive Director for Hughes Memorial Foundation presents a check for $5,000 to Sara Craddock, Director of Child and Adolescent Services and Kathy Milam, Grant Writer for Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services. The grant funds will be used to purchase pediatric assistive technology devices that will help infants and toddlers with disabilities achieve their developmental goals. Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services is the Local Lead Agency for the Part C Early Intervention Program, providing comprehensive services for developmentally delayed and disabled children from birth to 36 months. Children with developmental challenges such as cerebral palsy, autism, visual impairments, motor impairments, sensory processing disorder, oral motor disorders, and other medical and developmental conditions will benefit from these devices.
