Monday, November 1, 2010 / Categories: News, Grant, Scholarship 2010 FALL AWARDS ANNOUNCED HUGHES MEMORIAL FOUNDATION announced fall awards in November for scholarships and grants. Scholarships awarded totaled $42,000 and grants were awarded for $59,900. In addition, Hughes awarded a special project grant of $200,000 to assist with the construction of two playgrounds for special need and handicapped youths in Lynchburg, Virginia which will be open to the public.
